Tell us about what makes Manchester special to you?

Kelly Espinola, Principal, Parker-Varney Elementary School

Manchester is special to me because this is where I was born and raised. The school district gave me so much as a student and now I get to give back in so many ways. This school district is responsible for helping me achieve my childhood goal of becoming a teacher!

How are you involved  with the Manchester School District and why is this work important to you?

As a 20 year educator in Manchester, I am fortunate to work with some of the best students and educators every day. They make the job fun, rewarding, and challenging! The work is important to me because I get to support each learner as they learn new things and encourage them to try even if it might be hard. To see our students succeed is the goal every day, and when that happens, they can’t wait to share!

Fast forward five years: share with us your aspirations and vision for Manchester’s public schools.

In the next five years, I would like to see a continued school and home partnership that supports students in every way possible. Parents, Guardians, and educators are vital to the success of our students, and having this strong partnership will help support all learners in the Manchester School District.
