Join Manchester Proud’s Walk to End Hunger Team

Manchester Proud invites you, your friends and family (and even your dog) to join its team for Families in Transition-New Horizons’ annual Walk to End Hunger on May 19.

The 5K walk though Manchester raises money to help Families in Transition-New Horizons provide hunger relief, emergency shelter, safe affordable housing and support services for those in need. Last year, the groups sheltered 1,328 people including 143 children, provided 138,742 meals and helped 482 participants in its substance abuse treatment programs.

You can register by emailing team captain Sarah Jacobs at sjacobs@mansd.org. You can also register the day of the walk at Veteran’s Memorial Park on Elm Street. There is no fee to participate, but walkers who raise at least $10 will get a t-shirt.

Registration begins at 11 a.m. The walk will start at noon. For more information, visit support.fitnh.org/walk.
