The Currier Museum of Art is hosting an educator workshop, “Making marvels: an interdisciplinary educator workshop with Ethan Murrow,” on Friday, October 18. The workshop is designed for K-12 art, science, history, and English teachers, though all teachers are welcome.

From the Currier:

Join us for a cross-curricular innovation adventure. In connection with an installation created especially for the Currier, celebrated artist Ethan Murrow  will be leading our fall educator workshop.

In the spirit of Manchester’s history of reinventing itself, we’ll undertake fictitious jobs with a whimsical twist and collaborate to design the tools that suit our purposes. Afraid of engineering? It all starts with a problem to solve and flights of fancy.

The workshop includes an introductory talk by Ethan Murrow and a visit to the newly completed installation. A workbook of ideas for the classroom will be provided. Professional development hours awarded.
